Boris Johnson is now out of intensive care

What did Boris Johnson say at the coronavirus press conference today?

Boris Johnson was brought out of intensive care tonight and is an indication that he is winning his fight against coronavirus.

The Prime Minister, who has been in hospital since Sunday, spent three nights at St Thomas ‘Hospital in central London after a worsening in his health.

The statement came just hours after Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who filled in for him while he was ill, confirmed he took ‘positive steps forward’ with his treatment.

Earlier today a No 10 spokesman said:

The Prime Minister has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery.

Thoughts are now going to turn to how long Mr. Johnson will stay in hospital before he’s good enough to play a full role in the government again.
