Singapore: 1,111 new coronavirus infections reported

On Tuesday, Singapore announced 1,111 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total infection count to 9,125.

The health ministry said that most of the patients were migrant workers staying in dormitories.

On Tuesday, the regional chief of the World Health Organization announced that Singapore, which has the largest number of confirmed cases in Southeast Asia, faces “very difficult challenges” as a result of a recent increase of coronavirus infections, but has the healthcare system and risk management capacity to handle it.
