Pixel 4A and 4A XL: Specifications, Pricing Rumored

New Google Pixel 4a Leaks Reveal Exciting Upgrade

Google launched the Pixel 3A and 3A XL in May last year. It was the first set of Pixel phones entering the competitive price market. The Pixel 3A phones, priced at hundreds of dollars cheaper than their original Pixel 3 flagship equivalent, shaved off key features such as wireless charging and water resistance. But for Android consumers looking for a Pixel phone interface at a reduced cost, this remained a feasible option.

The move succeeded, and that summer, the Pixel 3A doubled Google Pixel sales. Many expect sequels to arrive shortly for the Pixel 3A phones, possibly named the Pixel 4A and 4A XL.

Last year, the Pixel 3A cost $399, while the 3A XL cost $479. It wouldn’t be shocking if Google kept its Pixel 4A phones in the same price range this year. The reason many aren’t expecting a high price tag is that it would be a risky step to increase the price of a product primarily aimed at more budget-minded consumers.

With the launch of the Pixel 3A being the only guide to go on, it’s hard to predict a definite launch date for the Pixel 4A. The only estimate for the launch date is some time in May if Google at least keeps to the same month. However, one post from the German site, Caschys Blog, said that the phone would be launched in Europe through mobile carrier Vodafone on May 22. If a May launch is correct, then we are about a month away from its release.

Currently, no other information is known about the Pixel 4A and 4A XL.
