Oppo recently launched a new handset, called the Oppo A52, in its A-series range. Now the company has introduced and launched another phone in Malaysia named Oppo A92. This latest smartphone’s specifications are similar to the alleged Oppo A72 phone that has recently been spotted online, indicating that Oppo may launch the same phone as A72 in select markets and as A92 in others.
The Oppo A92 is currently listed for pre-order on Oppo’s official web site at 1199 MYR ($277). The phone comes in two color variants, Twilight Black and Shining White.
The phone’s official launch is expected to be May 9.
The Oppo A92 features a full 6.5-inch HD+ display, with a hole-punch design. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC as well as 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The smartphone runs on ColourOS 7.1, which is based on Android 10.
The smartphone carries a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. As for cameras, the phone packs a quad-camera configuration consisting of a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture, an ultra-wide-angle 8-megapixel camera with a 119-degree field-of-view, and two, 2-megapixel sensors, one for monochrome shots and the other for depth. The Oppo A92 carries a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone for security.
