Of the new cases reported on Sunday, seven were supposedly imported from Inner Mongolia, compared with two reported cases a day prior.
Five additional, locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, the highest since 11 March, were confirmed by Wuhan, the outbreak epicenter in China. All cases were in the same residential area in the city.
