On Tuesday, Coronavirus cases in India crossed 100,000, exceeding the number of intensive care beds, with no indication of a decline in infections.
Over the past 24 hours, India registered 4,970 new infections, bringing the infection toll to 101,139, with fatalities rising by 134 to 3,163.
According to authorities, some 37,000 people have recovered from the virus.
