On Tuesday, Russia announced 9,623 new coronavirus infections over the last 24 hours, bringing the total infection toll in the country to 299,941.
The daily increase in cases was under 10,000 for the fourth day in a row, a threshold that it has been above for much of May.
The Russian coronavirus task force also confirmed 115 fatalities from the virus overnight, bringing the death toll in the country to 2,837.
