RedmiBook, Xiaomi’s laptop sub-brand, is expected to receive some new versions in only a couple of days. As indicated by the listings on a Chinese e-retailer, Redmi was scheduled to introduce three different RedmiBook versions by the end of this month, but Lu Weibing, Redmi Brand’s general manager, has announced that the latest RedmiBook will be released in China on May 26 alongside the Redmi 10X phone.
Key specifications were also leaked on two of the three RedmiBook models. A tipster on Twitter posted two photos with the alleged specs for the TIMI TM1951 and TIMI TM1953 model numbers, suspected to be two of the RedmiBook series, hinting at processor clock speeds, and other specifications.
Weibing also shared the launch poster on Weibo, revealing the May 26 launch date for the RedmiBook. The digital event will start at 02:00 EST.
Two of the RedmiBook models come with model number TIMI TM1951 and TIMI TM1953, according to the two photos in a tweet posted on Twitter. Both of these models have 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage, and while this was previously leaked through the JD.com listing, the tweet tells us that the 16 GB RAM is DDR4 with a clock speed of 2.666MHz and the 512 GB storage device is a Samsung PM881 SATA SSD.
Speaking of the TIMI TM1951 model, the specification image shows that it is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor, which is a 6-core chipset designed with 7 nm architecture. The base clock is supposedly 2.4GHz, whereas the speed of the turbo clock is 3.9GHz. The TIMI TM1951 model also comes with a 64-bit version of Windows 10.
The other RedmiBook, with the model number TIMI TM1953, is powered by the eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 4700U processor. The base clock is 2GHz, while the boost clock is 4.1GHz, and will also feature a 64-bit version of Windows 10.
