On Friday, the health ministry announced 34,177 new coronavirus infections in Brazil, along with 1,163 additional fatalities.
Over recent weeks, Brazil has been recording approximately 40,000 new coronavirus infections per day, making up for the second-worst coronavirus outbreak in the world.
