Second-quarter revenue of eBay beats sale estimates

eBay surpassed Wall Street expectations for quarterly sales on Tuesday, as the e-commerce firm gained from an increase in online purchases attributed to coronavirus-driven lockdowns from people remaining indoors.

Revenue rose from $2.42bn in the second quarter to $2.87bn, exceeding analysts’ estimate of around $2.8bn.
