On Wednesday, the worldwide coronavirus death toll exceeded 700,000, with the United States, Argentina, India, and Mexico driving the increase in fatalities.

U.S. President, Donald Trump, claimed that the spread of coronavirus is under control in the United States, where more than 155,000 people have passed away in the wake of a late response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Brazillian President, Jair Bolsonaro has dismissed the pandemic’s severity and resisted quarantine initiatives, despite cabinet members testing positive for the virus.

In Latin America, the coronavirus pandemic was initially slower to spread, which is host to about 640 million inhabitants. However, authorities have failed to monitor its spread due to the poverty of the area and the tightly populated areas, causing a high number of unrecorded cases.

Despite much of the world appearing to have curbed the spread of the virus, many countries have seen peaks of new infections lately, suggesting that a second wave is imminent.
