Following months of speculation and leaks, the long-anticipated Sony WH-1000XM4 has finally been unveiled. The Sony WH-1000XM4 is the flagship headset in Sony’s wireless headphone series, priced at $350.
The new Sony headphones will go on sale globally sometime in August 2020 and are currently up for pre-order for $350.
The Sony WH-1000XM4 is of a similar design to its predecessor and uses the same QN1 noise-canceling processor that helped make the Sony WH-1000XM3 one of the best headphones. The exterior portion of the headphones also supports gesture controls, along with features such as adaptive sound controls, wear detection, and a reported battery life of more than 30 hours per charge with active noise cancellation enabled.
The Sony WH-1000XM4 can be managed and personalized through the Sony Headphones Connect app, which is available for Android and iOS. The app helps users to configure noise cancellation, set up adaptive sound controls, and change certain features such as the sound mode and equalizer.
The headphones also support ‘speak-to-chat’ that recognizes the user’s voice and pauses the music when it senses the user is talking.
