On Monday, the coronavirus death toll in Mexico passed 53,000, after 705 additional fatalities and 5,558 new infections were confirmed by the Mexican health ministry.
Mexico currently has the world’s third-highest coronavirus death toll, standing at 53,003 in addition to a staggering 485,836 recorded infections.
