On Friday, Austria’s foreign ministry joined Italy in warning against traveling to Croatia.
Austria worries that as holidaymakers return from Croatia, they may contribute to the spread of coronavirus in the country if they happen to contract it in Croatia.
The health ministry announced that the new measure would be enforced starting from August 17, and citizens who return to Austria will have to submit a negative COVID-19 test, which must not be older than 72 hours.
