On Sunday, France’s health ministry confirmed 3,015 new coronavirus infections over the last 24 hours, marking the second day in a row in which additional cases topped 3,000.
A rapid increase of infections in France has prompted officials in Paris and Marseille to extend areas where face coverings are mandatory.
The health ministry also confirmed additional new coronavirus fatality bringing the death toll in the country to a staggering 30,410.
