On Wednesday, Australia’s second most populated state of Victoria reported 12 new coronavirus fatalities over the last 24 hours, along with 216 new infections.
A day prior, Victoria reported 222 new infections and 17 fatalities.
Victoria has seen a decline of new infections in recent days after officials enforced a nightly curfew two weeks ago and mandated the closure of major sections of the state economy.
