
On Saturday, global coronavirus deaths passed 800,000, with nearly 23 million cases worldwide, according to statistics from the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.
The United States is the worst affected country, responsible for approximately 5.6 million cases and more than 175,000 fatalities, followed by Brazil, Mexico, India, and the UK per death count.
Additionally, just months after bringing down infection rates, Europe remains plagued by a second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
