Two individuals, one from the Netherlands and one from Belgium, have reportedly been re-infected with the novel coronavirus, raising fears regarding the immunity of people that have previously been infected.

A study was conducted by Hong Kong researchers on a man who had supposedly recovered from the virus and then got infected with a separate strain just four and a half months later.

Experts claim that more infections will have to be reported to justify the claims that individuals can be re-infected.
