On Thursday, India reported a record daily increase in coronavirus infections, after registering 75,760 new cases over the past 24 hours, bringing its total caseload to 3.31 million.
Additionally, 1,023 new fatalities were recorded, bringing the coronavirus death toll in the country to 60,472.
Currently, India had been the hardest hit country by the coronavirus pandemic in Asia, and just third in overall cases worldwide behind the United States and Brazil.
