On Sunday, the Kremlin announced that Vladimir Putin Russian President and Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko would meet in Moscow in the next couple of weeks.
Putin and Lukashenko have not met since protests ripped through Belarus over a controversial presidential election that gave Lukashenko a sixth term.
The Kremlin said in a statement:
“It was agreed to hold a meeting in Moscow in coming weeks,”
