On Wednesday, after testing positive for COVID-19, former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi promised to continue with political activities ahead of September’s local elections.
Berlusconi reportedly told supporters during a video meeting:
“Unfortunately, this too has happened to me, but I carry on fighting,”
Berlusconi’s staff announced that will remain isolated in his home in Arcore, north of Milan.
Berlusconi’s personal physician, Alberto Zangrillo, said that the former prime minister had no symptoms but wanted to get tested after his recent Sardinia holiday.
