France: Daily coronavirus infections top 10,000 for first time

On Saturday, French health authorities reported 10,561 new coronavirus infections, marking the first time new daily infections have gone over 10,000.

The previous record was set on Thursday when 9,843 new infections were reported.

Health authorities also reported 17 fatalities, taking the coronavirus death toll in the country to 30,910.
