On Sunday, Chinese authorities in the northeastern Jilin province discovered the novel coronavirus on imported squid packaging.
The health office of Fuyu city announced that one of the packages had arrived from the provincial capital Changchun.
Individuals who ate imported squid at the Sanjia Deda frozen seafood wholesale shop between Aug 24-31 are now being urged to get tested for COVID-19.
The squid was reportedly imported from Russia by a company in Hunchun city.
