Brazil: Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Celso de Mello to retire early

On Friday, Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court’s press office announced that Celso de Mello of the Brazilian Supreme Court would retire early on October 13, allowing president Jair Bolsonaro to pick a replacement.

Celso de Mello was set to retire in three weeks, once he turned 75, by which point de Mello would be required to step down under age limit restrictions.
