On Friday, to concentrate on zero-emission technologies, Honda announced that it would be ending its role as an engine supplier in the FIA Formula One World Championship.
Chief Executive Takahiro Hachigo said at a news conference:
“This is not a result of the coronavirus pandemic but because of our longer-term carbon-free goal,”
Hachigo said that Honda does not plan to return to F1.
Honda will now primarily focus on the production of zero-emission technology, such as electric batteries and fuel cells.
