Italy: 11,705 new COVID-19 infections, 69 fatalities reported

On Sunday, Italy reported 11,705 new COVID-19 infections and 69 additional fatalities, marking an increase of 780 from yesterday’s record of 10,925.

In total, Italy has reported 414,241 cases of COVID-19 and 36,543 coronavirus related fatalities.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 40 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.3 million fatalities across 188 countries and territories.
