Kazakhstan: 268 new COVID-19 infections reported

On Thursday, Kazakhstan reported 268 new COVID-19 infections, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, Kazakhstan has reported 111,100 COVID-19 cases and 1,825 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 9 million infections and 233,137 fatalities, although India follows closely behind with 8 million cases and 120,583 deaths. As for the third-highest case toll and death toll, Brazil follows with 5.4 million cases and 158,468 deaths, Russia with 1.5 million cases and 27,301 deaths, and France with 1.2 million cases and 35,785 coronavirus related deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 44 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.3 million fatalities across 188 countries and territories.
