
On Tuesday, Colombia reported 6,136 new COVID-19 infections and 177 fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Colombia has reported 1,099,392 COVID-19 cases and 31,847 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 9.6 million infections and 237,879 fatalities, although India follows closely behind with 8.3 million cases and 123,650 deaths. As for the third-highest case toll and death toll, Brazil follows with 5.5 million cases and 160,496 deaths, Russia with 1.6 million cases and 28,828 deaths, and France with 1.5 million cases and 38,289 coronavirus related deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 47 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.3 million fatalities across 216 countries and territories.
