
On Tuesday, authorities announced that two men had been arrested by Swiss police following an investigation into the Monday night shooting in Vienna that left at least four dead.
The two men were aged 18 and 24 and were both Swiss citizens.
Zurich cantonal police said in a statement:
“The two men were arrested on Tuesday afternoon in coordination with the Austrian authorities,”
“The extent to which there was a connection between the two arrested persons and the alleged assassin is currently the subject of ongoing clarifications and investigations which are being carried out by the responsible authorities.”
In total, Swiss police have arrested 14 people following the shooting in the center of Vienna that left four dead.
