
On Monday, Germany reported 9,202 new COVID-19 cases and 57 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Germany has reported 681,709 COVID-19 cases and 11,562 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 10.3 million infections and 243,819 fatalities, although India follows closely behind with 8.5 million cases and 126,864 deaths. As for the third-highest case toll and death toll, Brazil follows with 5.6 million cases and 162,397 deaths, Russia with 1.7 million cases and 30,793 deaths, and France with 1.7 million cases and 40,439 coronavirus related deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 50 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.3 million fatalities across 216 countries and territories.
