France: 22,882 new COVID-19 cases, 634 fatalities reported

On Friday, France reported 22,882 new COVID-19 cases and 634 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, France has reported 2,109,170 COVID-19 cases and 48,265 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 12.2 million infections and 259,847 fatalities, although India follows closely behind with 9 million cases and 132,761 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6 million cases and 168,613 deaths, France with 2.1 million cases and 48,265 deaths, and Russia with 2 million cases and 35,311 coronavirus related deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 57 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.3 million fatalities across 217 countries and territories.
