On Sunday, Azerbaijan reported 3,196 new COVID-19 cases and 24 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Azerbaijan has reported 93,094 COVID-19 cases and 1,131 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 12.4 million infections and 261,790 fatalities, although India follows closely behind with 9 million cases and 133,263 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6 million cases and 169,016 deaths, France with 2.1 million cases and 48,518 deaths, and Russia with 2 million infections and 36,179 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 58 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.3 million fatalities across 217 countries and territories.
