France: 9,784 new COVID-19 cases, 198 fatalities reported

On Sunday, France reported 9,784 new COVID-19 cases and 198 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, France has reported 2,218,483 COVID-19 cases and 52,325 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 13.6 million infections and 272,705 fatalities, although India follows with 9.4 million cases and 137,152 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6.2 million cases and 172,706 deaths, Russia with 2.2 million cases and 39,527 deaths, and France with 2.2 million infections and 52,325 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 62 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.4 million fatalities across 217 countries and territories.
