On Sunday, Switzerland reported 29 new COVID-19 cases, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Switzerland has reported 318,290 COVID-19 cases and 4,650 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 13.7 million infections and 272,932 fatalities, although India follows with 9.4 million cases and 137,152 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6.3 million cases and 172,833 deaths, Russia with 2.2 million cases and 39,527 deaths, and France with 2.2 million infections and 52,325 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 63 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.4 million fatalities across 217 countries and territories.
