Germany: 1,833 new COVID-19 cases, 27 fatalities reported

On Monday, Germany reported 1,833 new COVID-19 cases and 27 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, Germany has reported 1,057,440 COVID-19 cases and 16,560 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 13.7 million infections and 273,101 fatalities, although India follows with 9.4 million cases and 137,185 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6.3 million cases and 172,848 deaths, Russia with 2.2 million cases and 39,895 deaths, and France with 2.2 million infections and 52,325 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 63 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.4 million fatalities across 217 countries and territories.
