Mexico: 6,388 new COVID-19 cases, 196 fatalities reported

On Monday, Mexico reported 6,388 new COVID-19 cases and 196 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, Mexico has reported 1,107,071 COVID-19 cases and 105,655 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 13.7 million infections and 273,072 fatalities, although India follows with 9.4 million cases and 137,177 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6.3 million cases and 172,848 deaths, Russia with 2.2 million cases and 39,527 deaths, and France with 2.2 million infections and 52,325 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 63 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.4 million fatalities across 217 countries and territories.
