South Korea: 594 new COVID-19 cases, 3 fatalities reported

On Tuesday, South Korea reported 594 new COVID-19 cases and three additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, South Korea has reported 38,755 COVID-19 cases and 552 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 15.3 million infections and 290,443 fatalities, although India follows behind with 9.7 million cases and 140,994 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6.6 million cases and 177,388 deaths, Russia with 2.4 million cases and 43,597 deaths, and France with 2.2 million infections and 55,521 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 67 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.5 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
