Mexico: 11,006 new COVID-19 cases, 800 fatalities reported

On Wednesday, Mexico reported 11,066 new COVID-19 cases and 800 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, Mexico has reported 1,193,255 COVID-19 cases and 110,874 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 15.5 million infections and 293,398 fatalities, although India follows behind with 9.7 million cases and 141,398 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6.6 million cases and 178,184 deaths, Russia with 2.5 million cases and 44,159 deaths, and France with 2.3 million infections and 56,352 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 68 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.5 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
