
On Friday, Ukraine reported 13,514 new COVID-19 cases and 285 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Ukraine has reported 872,228 COVID-19 cases and 14,755 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 16 million infections and 299,692 fatalities, although India follows behind with 9.7 million cases and 142,222 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6.7 million cases and 179,801 deaths, Russia with 2.5 million cases and 45,280 deaths, and France with 2.3 million infections and 56,940 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 70 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.5 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
