Poland: 11,497 new COVID-19 cases, 502 fatalities reported

On Saturday, Poland reported 11,497 new COVID-19 cases and 502 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, Poland has reported 1,126,700 COVID-19 cases and 22,676 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 16.2 million infections and 302,762 fatalities, although India follows behind with 9.8 million cases and 142,662 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6.8 million cases and 180,453 deaths, Russia with 2.5 million cases and 46,453 deaths, and France with 2.3 million infections and 57,567 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 71 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.6 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
