
On Wednesday, Czechia reported 7,889 new COVID-19 cases and 54 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Czechia has reported 594,148 COVID-19 cases and 9,982 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 17.1 million infections and 311,073 fatalities, although India follows behind with 9.9 million cases and 144,130 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6.9 million cases and 182,854 deaths, Russia with 2.7 million cases and 47,968 deaths, and France with 2.3 million infections and 59,072 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 74 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.6 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
