
On Monday, Germany reported 8,912 new COVID-19 cases and 219 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Germany has reported 1,523,695 COVID-19 cases and 26,983 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 18.3 million infections and 325,654 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10 million cases and 146,145 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 7.2 million cases and 186,818 deaths, Russia with 2.8 million cases and 51,351 deaths, and France with 2.4 million infections and 60,900 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 77.5 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.7 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
