
On Tuesday, Germany reported 10,606 new COVID-19 cases and 420 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Germany has reported 1,544,722 COVID-19 cases and 27,717 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 18.4 million infections and 327,172 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10 million cases and 146,438 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 7.2 million cases and 187,685 deaths, Russia with 2.9 million cases and 51,912 deaths, and France with 2.4 million infections and 60,900 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 78 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.7 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
