Germany: 15,960 new COVID-19 cases, 935 fatalities reported

On Tuesday, Germany reported 15,960 new COVID-19 cases and 935 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, Germany has reported 1,686,154 COVID-19 cases and 32,111 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 19.8 million infections and 344,934 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10.2 million cases and 148,423 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 7.5 million cases and 191,735 deaths, Russia with 3.1 million cases and 55,827 deaths, and France with 2.5 million infections and 63,109 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 82 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.7 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
