France: 19,927 new COVID-19 cases, 251 fatalities reported

On Thursday, France reported 19,927 new COVID-19 cases and 251 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, France has reported 2,620,425 COVID-19 cases and 64,632 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 20.3 million infections and 352,170 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10.2 million cases and 148,950 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 7.6 million cases and 194,152 deaths, Russia with 3.1 million cases and 57,019 deaths, and France with 2.6 million infections and 64,632 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 83.5 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.8 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
