Bolivia: 1,597 new COVID-19 cases, 22 fatalities reported

On Wednesday, Bolivia reported 1,597 new COVID-19 cases and 22 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, Bolivia has reported 165,268 COVID-19 cases and 9,241 coronavirus related fatalities.

Bolivia reported its first COVID-19 cases on 10 March 2020.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 21.5 million infections and 365,620 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10.3 million cases and 150,151 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 7.8 million cases and 197,777 deaths, Russia with 3.2 million cases and 59,506 deaths, and the UK with 2.7 million infections and 76,305 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 86.8 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.8 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
