In total, Germany has reported 1,944,618 COVID-19 cases and 42,344 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 23.1 million infections and 385,464 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10.4 million cases and 151,364 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 8.1 million cases and 203,617 deaths, Russia with 3.4 million cases and 62,804 deaths, and the United Kingdom with 3.1 million infections and 81,960 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 91.4 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.9 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
