Brazil: 60,806 new COVID-19 cases, 1,005 fatalities reported

On Saturday, Brazil reported 60,806 new COVID-19 cases and 1,005 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, Germany has reported 2,038,645 COVID-19 cases and 47,121 coronavirus related fatalities.

Brazil reported its first case of COVID-19 on 25 February 2020.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 24.2 million infections and 404,802 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10.5 million cases and 152,311 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 8.4 million cases and 209,296 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 94.8 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 2 million fatalities across 219 countries and territories.
