France: 21,406 new COVID-19 cases, 193 fatalities reported

On Saturday, France reported 21,406 new COVID-19 cases and 193 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, France has reported 2,894,347 COVID-19 cases and 70,142 coronavirus related fatalities.

France reported its first case of COVID-19 on 24 January 2020.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 24.2 million infections and 404,636 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10.5 million cases and 152,288 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 8.4 million cases and 208,542 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 94.7 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 2 million fatalities across 219 countries and territories.
