South Korea: 389 new COVID-19 cases and 15 additional fatalities reported

On Sunday, South Korea reported 389 new COVID-19 cases and 15 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, South Korea has reported 72,729 COVID-19 cases and 1,264 coronavirus related fatalities.

South Korea reported its first case of COVID-19 on 20 January 2020.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 24.4 million infections and 407,202 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10.5 million cases and 152,456 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 8.4 million cases and 209,868 deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 95.4 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 2 million fatalities across 219 countries and territories.
